10 sacred Ways to honor the dead

November is a special one — a time to connect with our loved ones who have passed on.

Although our guides and ancestors are always available to support and lead us, there’s a collective openness right now that makes it easier to feel their presence. I even had a dream visit from my grandfather — someone who rarely appears in my awareness and passed away when I was in grade school. This reminded me just how close are loved ones are.

10 Ways to Honor the Dead

  1. Create an altar with their photos and belongings

  2. Light a candle for each of them

  3. Wear their favorite cologne or perfume

  4. Share memories with friends and family

  5. Invite them to visit you during your dreams — then journal about it

  6. Meditate in nature and imagine them with you

  7. Eat at their favorite restaurant or cook their favorite foods

  8. Listen to their favorite music and imagine them singing or dancing along

  9. Visit their gravesite or spend time with their ashes

  10. Write a letter from them to you

Which of these will you do this month?
